I tried changing my proxy (ater reading a couple of articles telling me how) but when I change the proxy (and the port) I can't connect to the internet. Am I doing something wrong. Does my computer detect that I am in canada? could it be a firewall issue?How do I watch t.v. shows that are from American network sites (when I live in Canada)?Your IP address is the reason, since some material is only available to USA resident the system is able to determine you are from Canada by your ISP..eg Rogers..Bell Sympatico.
One way to fool it is to change your IP address by using a program such as Hide Ip.
