How can I use a proxy server/Privoxy to change certain links on a website into regular, unclickable text?

I'm trying to use Privoxy make a backup of a website forum that is giving me quite a few problems (with cookies and authentication and such), so the only thing that works is logging in and using the scrapbook extension. however, scrapbook is pretty stupid, and there are a number of links on each page that I want to filter out.

eg example.com/memberprofile.php?m=XXXXX

I don't want every member's profile, just the threads and forum lists, which are

forumdisplay.php?f=XXXXX and

showthread.php?t=XXXX

the member's names for each post are clickable, I want to make them (and some other stuff) unclickable. Displayed, but unclickable. I can't seem to wrap my head around the syntax for privoxy, but could you show me/do you have other ideas?

this didn't work
