How do i connect my xbox 360 to the internet?

k i just got in college and had to configure my pc's LAN connection to connect to the internet... i had to change the proxy server and port in order to get online (no wireless here, only 2 ethernet jacks in the wall)... i hooked my xbox up to the other ethernet jack and ran the connection but the MCU thing failedHow do i connect my xbox 360 to the internet?what u have to do is u need a router wich is for ur internet. Then plug the ethernet into the back of the router box.
