Safari wont let me change proxy settings?

All of a sudden my Safari on my mac does not connect to the internet. However my Firefox does! So i discovered it would have something to do with the proxy settings... cause firefox bypasses all proxy settings etc. Well when i go to safari, preferences, network and try to change my proxy settings the 'change settings' button is greyed out!!

Could someone please PLEASE HELP ME! How do i get the button to work and change my safari proxy settings????

A normal household setup for the internet doesn't use any proxy. There is nothing in the Safari preferences to suggest using a proxy. In your network control panel, you should have no proxies enabled.Safari wont let me change proxy settings?By a windows pc. use Internet Explorer 8
